Originally from Egypt, Amr brings a diverse set of skills to our creative practice, fostered by a broad range of set design and architectural experience in the Middle East.
As a design director, his unique focus in 3D modeling and illustration programs complements both our scenic and consumer environments practices.
He has studied at both The American University of Sharjah and Purdue University (where he pursued both architecture and engineering disciplines) and has over 13 years of professional experience in set design.
Though Amr is new to the US (he relocated from Dubai in 2018) he has already found NYC and Austin to be his favorite places, which is certainly convenient for us!
In his free time, Amr likes to illustrate comics, sculpt 3D characters, and dabble in soccer and basketball.
He loves to travel and experience new cultures, specifically by taking road trips through Canada and the US with friends and family visiting from Egypt, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates.
Amr seeks design inspiration from Norman Foster, Santiago Calatrava, and Zaha Hadid. He is drawn to Jim Lee’s comic illustrations, and constantly looks for ways to broaden his design capabilities.
Professional accolades include a PromaxBDA award for Best Set Design. But design skills aren’t all Amr has to offer. If he was not a designer, he would be chef (if you ask nicely, he will make his famous mushroom risotto!) And to top it all off, he loves golden retrievers! These accomplishments and passion to for excellence are just a few reasons why Amr helps Clickspring keep ticking!
