Lauren Fremgen grew up in the great state of New York and has had a soft spot for the big apple since her youth. Akin to the creative world since her childhood, growing up, if she wasn’t playing soccer, you would find her immersed in puzzles or creating little Lego worlds; in her words “who doesn’t love seeing the end product?”. Alongside her desire to problem solve and build – was her natural knack of design – sketching and sewing one-of-a-kind outfits for her toys. Lauren’s real love for the industry came about while visiting Universal Studios in Florida, her curiosity about how each part of the park was designed and built lead her on the path that thankfully brought her to us.
Lauren received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. The program gave her invaluable insights into retail design, visual merchandising, exhibition design, trade show design, packaging design, and temporary installations such as events and pop-up stores. Not only was Lauren picking up skills at FIT, but she was also cheering on the whole school as FIT’s school mascot, Stitch the Tiger. Working as a freelance designer post-college, Lauren tackled bespoke corporate events and themed attractions across the country. Right on par with her dedication to design, Lauren is an accomplished runner who has finished two full marathons and hopes to participate in a half iron-man race (we’ll be in the cheering section…). Having spent time in Saratoga Springs, New York, her appreciation for the outdoors and hiking Buck Mountain influence how she approaches design. This talented ray of sunshine spends her downtime enjoying the beaches of Long Island with her new golden retriever puppy, Oakley, and insisting that New York bagels surpass all others (true)… we can only imagine the bright light she’ll bring to the Clickspring stage.
