We are considering installation of a BBQ pit at Clickspring as yet another lone star joins the team. Christopher Ferguson, a “native Texan with a passion for burgers and bad jokes,” also has a taste for international design inspiration. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from UT Austin in 2013, which included a term in Paris with David Elalouf at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville. Two additional traveling studios took Christopher to much of South America.
After graduation, Christopher joined Austin-based Andersson-Wise Architects, where he worked as an architectural designer and directed much of the firm’s online brand management and print media. He joined Clickspring in 2014 as a designer, eventually earning his license to practice architecture in 2018. In the spring of 2019 he was promoted to Director of Business Development, and in 2022 became Clickspring’s Director of Business Development, currently overseeing strategic client accounts, project opportunities, and marketing.
Christopher enjoys freelance writing and photography, publishing architectural criticism and imagery online and in print. Credits include The Architect’s Newspaper, Work Design Magazine, Texas Architect, where he is a regular contributor and has served as a member of its editorial board from 2018-2021 He has served on on the Executive Board of the Austin chapter of the American Institute of Architects as a liaison to the University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed architect in the State of Texas. When he’s not busy, he enjoys his cat, Payaso.
